Ankai buses will be sold on the European market under the Urbaneo brand, under the newly-established
A new company named Tekauto has just been established and presents itself as the exclusive importer of Ankai buses, as well as JAC Motors vehicles. Tekauto will make its debut at Busworld at the Ankai stand, showcasing two electric models from its range, which, according to the official note, “combine Ankai’s industrial strength with JAC Motors’ technology.”
Urbaneo Bus will indeed present the Urbaneo City 6 minibus and the Urbaneo Vista DD12 double-decker sightseeing coach, both battery-powered. The range is set to expand soon and will initially be available in France, Benelux, Germany, and Italy, supported by local branches and comprehensive service.
Future models will include the Urbaneo City (urban), Urbaneo Tour (intercity), and Urbaneo Vista Class III, complemented by the Urbaneo Move package, offering full-service contracts, charging infrastructure, and fleet management support.
The Urbaneo City 6 is under 6 meters long, seats 22 passengers, has a 127 kWh battery, and a range of up to 250 km, compliant with Gsr2 safety regulations.
The Urbaneo Vista DD12 double-decker, already in service in Paris in 2024 with Big Bus, offers various battery options with a range of 280–300 km and meets European safety standards. A standard closed-roof configuration is also available.
